Film Making Tips 101 Camera Movements – Tilting

Tilting falls almost exactly under the same constraints as panning, however it’s on a vertical basis. Tilting could begin for example on the ground and head upwards to reveal a subject in action.

Tips: Start a zoom, or pushing the camera in after a pan or tilt. Not a long time after, maybe as short as a fraction of a second. But follow it on from the movement and it will work more smoothly than expected.
