Hiroshima Book Optioned by James Cameron Halted
The Associated Press reports that Charles Pellegrino’s book “The Last Train from Hiroshima,” which James Cameron had optioned for a possible film ( see original story ), has been pulled by publisher Henry Holt and Company.
Ben Stiller Confirms Zoolander Sequel Plans
Last week, it was reported that Ben Stiller is working together with Tropic Thunder and Iron Man 2 writer Justin Theroux on a sequel to Zoolander at Paramount Pictures. Jonah Hill was said to be in negotiations to play the villain.
Mark Millar Thinks Wanted 2 Will Proceed Sans Jolie
Last week, it was reported by New York Magazine’s Vulture that Angelina Jolie had dropped out of the planned sequel Wanted 2 and that without the star on board, Universal Pictures were unwilling to go ahead with the project and had pulled the plug. Those reports were unconfirmed by anyone at Universal at the time. Fox Picks Up Incarceron Film Rights
Fox 2000 has acquired the film rights for British author Catherine Fisher’s young-adult novel “Incarceron.” John Palermo will produce via Seed Productions, Palermo and Hugh Jackman’s Fox-based company. The studio is going out to directors and writers right away to get the project going.
