The Cold Equations

THE COLD EQUATIONS provides a chilling psychological character study in a gripping science-fiction setting. Pilot John Barton (Bill Campbell) accepts a lonely mission to deliver much needed medicine to miners on a remote planet, using a "disposable" ship intended to make only a one way journey. Once in space, however, Barton discovers a young stowaway (Poppy Montgomery) who throws off the ship's fuel usage, endangering both their lives. Though directed to throw her into space, Barton and the girl bond, and work together to save their lives and the relationship they quickly form.
